Initial consulation

During the initial consultation we will discuss your goals and expectations. You will have a chance to describe the size and shape your are looking for and your feelings about the procedure. We will address questions you have about breast augmentation.

How is Breast Augmentation performed?

Breast augmentation is performed in the operating room at a fully accredited surgical center. While you are asleep under general anesthesia the breast implant is inserted under the breast through a small incision. The surgery lasts about 1.5 hours. You are then brought to the recovery room to be monitored until you are ready to go home.

Choice of breast implant size

Deciding what size breast implant to use is one of the most important task during consultation. Our discussion will reveal your goals and desires for your breast size and shape. We will discuss the options and alternatives for breast implant material, size, and style. You will have an opportunity to try on sizers to help visualize the size you are looking for. Based on the examination of you body frame, chest, breast soft tissue, and anatomy we will decide on a choice that best fits your wishes.

After Surgery

You will need someone to bring you home from the surgery center. The pain medication prescribed will help keep you comfortable in the days after surgery. Antibiotics will help minimize the risks of infection. Dr. Pham will keep in close contact with you after surgery and see you back in the office to examine you to make sure you are healing well. Heavy lifting and straining should be avoided after surgery until you heal completely. A support bra will provide comfort and help maintain implant position.
