Initial consulation

How is Facelift Surgery performed?
Facelift Surgery is performed in the operating room at a fully accredited surgical center. While you are asleep under general anesthesia the face and neck skin and deep tissue are tightened and the face is reshaped in a more youthful, lifted position. The surgery lasts about 2.5 hours. You are then brought to the recovery room to be monitored until you are ready to go home.
Choice of incision
Deciding which incision to use is one of the most important task during consultation. Our discussion will reveal you goals and desires for improvement The degree of sagginess of your face will determine the incisions available.
After Surgery
You will need someone to bring you home from the surgery center. The pain medication prescribed will help keep you comfortable in the days after surgery. Antibiotics will help minimize the risks of infection. Dr. Pham will keep in close contact with you after surgery and see you back in the office to examine you to make sure you are healing well. Heavy lifting and straining should be avoided after surgery until you heal completely. A support garment will provide comfort and help maintain facelift position.
